Hiring for Students for Barrier-free Access

Position 1: Campaign Researcher: Responses to COVID-19
The Researcher will investigate the ways other post-secondary institutions are supporting their students during the COVID-19 pandemic and the transition to online learning. They will review surveys and reports published by other institutions to produce a literature review which can be used as the foundation for future advocacy. The Researcher will also consider these results within a disability justice lens, and make recommendations for SBA’s future programming.

Position 2: Campaign Researcher: Responses to Student Mental Health

The Researcher will investigate the ways other post-secondary institutions and communities are dealing with student mental health. They will look into the efficacy of these programs for different marginalized identities, and will consider how they can be adapted to the University of Toronto context. This work is part of our Student Mental Health Campaign, which seeks to understand the needs of students with disabilities and the barriers they face in accessing support and services. The campaign aims for the removal of these barriers.
